Megger offers a comprehensive line of both
flexible and clamp-on current transformers that are used with power quality
analyzers and recording volt-ammeters. These accessories are specifically geared
for use with the entire PA-9 Series along with the SLM-8 Recording Volt-Ammeter
and the older PA7, RVA4 and RA recorders. The CT, also known as a current
probe (CP) or current clamp, is self powered and does not require the use of a
battery when used with Megger PA-9 or PA-9Plus instruments. Megger also markets
a battery-operated CT for customers who require one with their power quality
product or older Megger unit.

This instrument was developed to detect, track and
locate ground faults on battery systems – without resorting to sectionalizing!
Model BGL tracks and locates ground faults on live or dead battery systems. To
save hours of unnecessary troubleshooting, the BGL readily differentiates
between the resistive fault currents and capacitive charging currents. This
feature allows the instrument to detect and track leakage paths, even in the
presence of surge-suppression capacitors.

The Megger MFT1553 On-site is an amazing new
pairing of a superb test instrument and a software package that allows you to do
your testing and complete your certificate as you go there on-site.
The certification software, PowerSuite On-site, can
be run on mobile devices such as your smart mobile phones, PDA or laptop and
once paired with the tester, and the circuit number entered, the meter will send
the test result to the correct field in the certificate.
Your device will acknowledge receipt of the result
and allow you to check that it has dropped in to the right field.
It is truly remarkable and more importantly it
saves errors in reading the test results, writing them down, in transcribing to
the certificates. Not only does prevent error it saves huge amounts of
time.

The MFT1500 is available in 3 options, the standard MFT1501/2 the MFT1502/2 which includes useful additional facilities such as backlit display and range switches, plus the unique Megger illuminated switched probe, and the MFT1552 which has an automatic RCD test feature.
The unique modern styling of the instruments allows it to be operated whilst stood on the floor, a ledge, hung around the neck with the supplied neck strap, or held in the hand.
The MFT1500 Series instruments use the patented Megger digital/analogue arc display. The analogue arc provides an indication of fluctuating readings, while the digital readout providing the ability to record accurate results.
All test functions are selectable from the main panel, with no hidden ranges or functions to forget.

The new Megger two wire earth loop testers verify
the loop impedance of a live electrical circuit, ie without the need to
disconnect the electrical supply. The new LTW300 series instruments offer a 2
wire loop testing solution that does not trip 30 mA RCDs and can be used on a
wide range of voltages.
The new LTW300’s offer a range of features to make
earth loop testing safer and easier.

Introducing a new loop tester for CATIV applications, the LT300 offers high current loop testing over a wide range of frequencies and supply voltages with simple, fast, two wire operation.
It has a large clear display that aids visibility in poor conditions.

The high current loop test provides fast accurate and stable results with a resolution to 0.01 Ω on the 20 Ω range.

The Megger LRCD200 series is the latest generation of combined non-tripping loop tester and RCD test instruments that provide simple, affordable and flexible test tools for electrical contractors testing energised circuits.
All Megger LRCD200 series instruments are supplied with a calibration certificate.
Three instruments are available:
Megger LRCD200 This instrument provides 3 phase safe non trip loop testing and 1xI tests of 10mA to 500mA RCDs. Suitable for applications outside the UK only.
Megger LRCD210 This instrument provides three phase safe non-trip loop testing and 1/2I, I, and 5I RCD testing for standard, selective and DC RCDs. Suitable for domestic installers testing to UK Part P requirements.
Megger LRCD220 As the LRCD210 with the addition of 110 V loop testing and 2 wire fast testing, plus phase to phase and phase to earth measurement.
All three instruments will not trip RCDs rated at 30 mA or greater during loop testing, even electronic RCDs.

MEGGER BOOSTS SAFETY IN RCD TESTING
Even if they are inadvertently connected to a live three-phase supply, RCD testers in Megger’s new RCDT300 range remain undamaged, and present no safety hazard to the user. Introduced after extensive customer research into the requirements of electrical contractors, these innovative instruments combine rugged construction with straightforward operation, and they are offered at very competitive prices.
Available in three models, ensuring that all users can choose a model which exactly meets their needs, RCDT300 RCD testers feature a compact ergonomic design, making them easy to handle and use, and a tough impact-resistant body with a rubber overmoulding for additional protection, plus a built-in display cover. All models in the range are water and dust resistant, with an IP54 ingress protection rating.
The low-cost entry-level RCDT310 model is suitable for use on supplies between 100V and 280V, and offers 0.5I, I and 5I tests, with provision for tests starting at 0ْ/180ْ of the supply waveform, as well as for DC tests. It also has facilities for testing standard and selective RCDs, and covers current ranges from 30mA to 500mA. When connected to a live supply, it defaults to voltmeter mode.
The mid-range RCDT320 covers a wider supply voltage range of 50V to 290V, allowing use with centre-tapped 110V supplies. It incorporates ramp testing testing, for RCD tripping current measurement, and the unique Megger auto sequence test feature, which saves time by allowing the tester to conduct all the RCD tests, and to store the results while the operator stands by the RCD, resetting it as appropriate.
The operating current range of the RCDT320 is extended to cover 10mA to 1,000mA devices, and the ability to measure AC supply voltage and frequency is added. The large liquid crystal display for test results is backlit in this model, making it easier to use in locations with low ambient light levels.
The RCDT330 additionally offers the facility to save test results to internal memory. Over 1000 result can be saved on site, and downloaded to a computer when convenient.
Data is stored in non-volatile memory, being retained when the instrument is switched off or batteries are exhausted. A Job reference number can be selected for a range of results, allowing separate locations to be tested with the same tester and easily separated when downloaded.
A memory bar graph acts as a ‘Fuel Gauge’ showing how much memory has been used. Test results are downloaded to CSV (Coma Separated Variable) spreadsheets.
If certificates or reports are required, the results can be downloaded directly into Megger Powersuite Professional with a range of features for creating professionally finished documentation.
All models in the range comply fully with the requirements of IEC61010-1 for Category III 300V applications, and are supplied complete with appropriate test leads and a calibration certificate.
